Beginnings, move to Brighton

Originating from Reigate, the members of Fever Rouge met at Reigate College and formed a band under the 4-piece membership of Ollie Hughes, Oli Mooney, Luke Andre and Louis Spanton in October 2021. They would debut in January 2022 where they would perform around Reigate whilst studying until September which would mark the beginning of their introduction to Brighton after enrolling at BIMM. Their B-town debut would be at the Prince Albert in March supporting Q-Days, hot off the release of their debut single ‘Locked and Loaded’ (Which has since been taken down). They would also temporarily add Marc Burgess (Former frontman for Spill) on keys/guitar for a short tenure but would revert to 4-piece shortly after.

Lineup change, debut EP

Around April, Spanton would depart Fever Rouge on amicable terms to move to the Bristol music scene, to be replaced by Alain De Gouveia (Spill) in time for the release of their next single ‘Golden’. In December the band would release their debut EP ‘Can you see’ alongside a music video for the single ‘Paint me’. 2024 would bring the band to gigging outside of Brighton in areas such as Northampton, Norwich and others. They would also release ‘The Buzz’ in September.

Genre shift, second EP

Around February 2025, Andre would depart from Fever Rouge after a gig where in which the band would bring in replacement Kieran King – De Gouveia’s bandmate from the then recently disbanded Spill. This would mark a shift in the group’s direction as they would distance themselves from their previous indie-rock discography and move towards a more alt-experimental genre with the release of EP ‘Feed The Villain’ supported by the single ‘You’ve been Warned’, ‘Feed The Villain (Single)’ and ‘Weatherman’.
