A 4-piece band that formed in Malvern, Two Pounds Down moved to Brighton in September 2023. They quickly gained widespread popularity amongst the indie scene thanks to their strong musicianship, band synergy and catchy tunes. The jazz group would be invited to numerous festivals and gigs throughout their tenure, however, bassist Ethan Coyle (brother of frontman Jesse) would leave the group in 2024. He would be replaced by Elliot Mulley shortly thereafter.

Strongly associated with their peers Goetia, Two Pounds Down similarly became infamous for taking a long time recording their debut single, the band finally releasing “Green” in July 2025. “Blue and Yellow” would follow in May 2026. Around July, Tilbury (also of Allodynia) would depart the band to be replaced by Oli Mooney from Fever Rouge.
