Beginnings of the band, Slag lineup change

The band Slag began around October 2023 after meeting in the smoking area of Concorde 2, gaining quick popularity due to their catchy hooks and math-rock influences. They would amass a strong, dedicated following despite the few gigs they did in the early run, developing a unique image of nymphomaniacs and indie students. Almost a year into their run, they would come under a setback with the departure of bassist Ethan Russell (the same Russell who would go on to form Stereo Glue).

Debut single, EP release

Despite this, Slag continued on with their strong technical musicianship after bringing on Freya Eastcott and the band would go on to build up extreme buzz around the release of their debut single “Ripped” in September 2024. This would be followed up by “Heaven” in February 2025, which would create a string of gig/festival appearances for the band. September 2025 would bring the single “Legs” which would preface the eventual EP “Losing” in March 2026.
