Beginnings, debut singles

Originally from Guildford, Lemonsuckr (back then known as Liquorice or Rugrat) moved to Brighton around 2022-23 and gained incredibly quick traction thanks to their high-energy performances and hypnotic tunes. A 5-piece, the began recording quickly and released their first set of songs in 2025 titled “H.E.A.T”, “Dead Disco” and “Instant Kinks”, all of which would promote the EP “H.E.A.T”. It is likely that Jake Andrews left the band around this time as he would not appear in any promotional material, did not play bass in the credits of the EP and would be covered by Jacob Whitear live. Later, in 2026, the band would sign to NYC Label ‘ALTER music’ and release “Stain”. They would then perform a series of dates to promote the gig.

Disclaimer

Unfortunately, much of Lemonsuckrs history pre-Stain has been wiped from their social media after they signed. Its hard to find photos of the original 5-piece, early performances, band lineups, etc. Assembling this page had to be done via third-parties primarily, which is a shame as the band clearly have a trove of history ready to be presented considering their success.
