Divorce Attorney have shared new single ‘Got Lost’.
The five-piece specialise in multi-faceted art-rock, blending jagged angles and post-punk flavours with tapestries of sound that recall shoegaze at its most blissful.
New EP ‘Always Something’ is out on April 3rd, and it follows extensive sessions with producer Spencer Withey (Back/Burden, Man/Woman/Chainsaw; Cowboy, Alien Chicks).
Out now, new single ‘Got Lost’ is a purposeful attempt to move the band out of their comfort zone. The five-piece started the track from scratch, challenging themselves to do something different, a short, sharp break with the past.
Seemingly the final song written for the EP, it taps in to the band’s willingness to think outside the box.
Speaking about the new single, frontman and rhythm guitarist Nathan Key explains:
‘Got Lost’ was the last song we wrote for the EP, but the first we recorded. I think it’s got that energy that you can only get from a song that you haven’t spent a year deliberating over. It feels urgent.
The whole ethos of this track was to push ourselves into uncharted territory, we wanted to explore how it would sound if we restricted ourselves to that trendy 2:30 runtime. I think we’re all really proud of it.
Tune in now.
